Psalm 126
March 22

An army was attacking Zion.  When the Lord turned them away, we were   like people
dreaming.    Then we laughed a lot.  And we shouted because we were so happy!  And
(people in) other countries said (to each other), "The Lord has done   something wonderful for
them!"  The Lord has done something wonderful for us and we are very, very   happy.  The
Lord will give back again what we have lost.  It will be like water   coming into a dry place
where there is a lot of sand.    People that are crying will go out and plant seeds.  (Later) they
will   sing as they pick the fruits.  Someone will go out crying, but with a basket of seeds.  He
will come   home laughing, with a lot of food.

Long ago, the Jews prayed to God for help to return them to their   country.  They agreed to
love and obey him.  The Jews' return to their   country is a picture for us.  As God made his
people free, so God had made   us free.  He had made  us free if we love and obey Jesus!

Psalm 126 speaks to me about coming full circle in life.  It shows how   if we have a dream, or
a specific goal we are trying to reach, it can   be achieved with God's help.  When we believe in
ourselves and take   steps to make our dreams a reality, and ask for God's help, He will surely
be on our side.  All blessings come from Him.      I have told my daughter Taylor that God has
a job for each of us.  I   believe that He has assigned us each a specific task or duty; that it
may   take our entire lifetime to find out what that is and accomplish it.  I   believe my job on
Earth is to be a good mom, so that I can help my   children grow up to learn what job God has
assigned them.

Dear Lord,   Shine your light down on me, so that I may share your light with others   around
me.  Share your strength and peace with me, so that I may reach   out to others and share
your blessings with them.  Amen
