II Corinthians 5:  18-21  So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view.  Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone and the new has come.

Jesus came into this world as a man.  His disciples walked with Him in his daily life.  He ate and drank with them.  He shared their sorrows and joys.  He called them His brothers.  It was after His resurrection that they no longer saw Him as just a man but the living Son of God.    Jesus declared, “ I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again”.  When asked how can a man be born again when he is old Jesus answered, “ I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again”.

So it was Paul wrote that no one was now regarded from a worldly point of view, as they had once regarded Christ,  but rather as a new creation, born again of water and the Spirit in Christ and that the old (life) has gone and the new (life) has come!

Dear Heavenly Father,  Please keep me mindful that I am a new creation born again of water and the Spirit rejecting the old life and embracing the new life in Christ.

 In Jesus name,

 Amen
